The project “Put the shutters down” has been shot between 2012 and 2014 mainly in Kathmandu. Chronicle of the Nepalese commerce, this series of photographs traces the urban landscape of Kathmandu and major cities of Nepal at the time when all stores are closed. Through the linearity of the roll shutters and the bright colors painted on metal, Raphaël George attempts to archive the originality of the Nepalese streets.
